Re: Don’t get queasy about John Deasy
Mike may catch the attention of governors and superintendents, but school boards are deaf. John Deasy, Superintedent of Prince George’s County, is set to resign. We hope his replacement is as reform-minded and result-oriented.
Update: I am not implying that the school board forced Deasy out (they did not) only to joke that Mike, who has caught the eye of district officials in the past (see above examples), was shockingly not consulted!
Update 2: Seems I’m not the only one who thought Deasy’s departure looked a little fishy.
You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.

1. Where was it said the school board forced him to resign because of the PhD issue?
2. Where did John Deasy say that the school board was a factor in his decision to resign?
If the answer to both of these is nowhere, pick on school boards when they deserve picking on, not just because you have a blog. If there is an actual answer to either of these questions, please post them so that your readers can, you know, read them.

nice of gates to lure an outstanding superintendent who was getting results and in the middle of reforms out of direct education - says something about their strategy doesnt it?
